GUILLERMO ROMERO ISMAEL

singer, composer and poet

  "The best tenor of Latin America",

such a title was awarded to the Argentine singer by the international organization  WAFUNIF in 2005.

"The voice of the heart" called the unusually beautiful timbre of the singer his Italian teacher Othello Biselli, while the famous Spanish singer Alfredo Kraus said:"this voice is so pure and transparent that it emits light."

The winner of the competition Enrico Caruso "Caruso-Di Lucia" in Naples (Italy) is unique in the sincerity of feelings that can convey his vocal skills, which invariably causes an emotional rise in the audience in many countries of the world.

He studied the art of opera singing at the  Institute of Art of the Colon Theatre in Buenos -  Aires (Argentina). He trained at the Higher school of singing in Madrid (Spain), at the Center of Opera Performance in Portland (Oregon, USA) with Franco Iglesias (teacher Placido Domingo), with Arrigo Pola (teacher Luciano Pavarotti) in Modena (Italy), with Mark  Oswald and Roger Malouf in New - York (USA). He was lucky to work with such outstanding masters of the opera scene as Alfredo Kraus, Luis Lima, Carlo Bergonzi, Gino Becchi, Delia Rigal, Elena Obraztsova, Edita Gruberova.

In 1996, Guillermo Romero Ismael was awarded  "The best singer of the year" and was given the opportunity  to record his first CD "In memory of my voice" and publish his first book "By the grooves of the soul." In the same year he made his debut as Rodolfo  (La Bohème) in Spain, and in 1997 as Alfredo (La Traviata) in Italy.  His voice was heard in the Opera houses of Rome, Naples, Munich, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Barcelona, Buenos Aires and many others theatres. He has repeatedly performed with concert programs in the National Concert Hall of Madrid, Portland, Nantes, the Palace of Music in Barcelona, in many cities of Italy, Spain and Argentina with pianists Gerardo Le Cam, Amparo Garcia, Paloma Camacho Acevedo, Oscar Buriek and conductors Gerasim Voronkov, Jorge Lhes, Pedro Ignacio Calderon, Sergio La Stella, Antonello Gotta and others. In 2004, he made a big concert tour of the United States with Maestro Roger Malouf. 

His great creative talent and artistic charisma made him a cultural ambassador, an outstanding citizen and honorary adviser to the Council of deputies of the city of Salta (Argentina).

His great performing experience and vocal skills, Guillermo Romero Ismael  transmites  to a new generation of singers. One of his students – a young, but already well-known in Europe, tenor Francisco Brito was invited to participate in the Opera production of the Bolshoi theatre of Russia in 2017.

Guillermo Romero Ismael  has recorded 13 discs (published 6), has written 4 books and has composed 50 songs.
